Morley Walking Club

Walks Calendar 2011/12

If you encounter any problems with your walks, ie blocked paths or pipe laying, please inform Andrew Sanderson by email here who will inform the appropriate authority.

Walks are graded as follows: S – Strenuous. M/S – Moderately strenuous. M – Moderate. E – Easy.

Walking

Make sure you have suitable clothing and footwear, and carry plenty of refreshments. The club’s insurance policy only covers public liability. Arrange your own cover if you want personal accident insurance. If you are leading a walk make sure that it is not longer or more difficult than you have stated on the published programme. Have a shorter version in mind in case the weather deteriorates. Take all litter home and leave the picnic area tidy. Do not throw stones down hills or into open shafts – you never know who might be below! Keep dogs on leads and don’t let them hold up the group when negotiating stiles. Check with the walk leader for suitability.

Walk Leaders please try and write a short report after walks and send to Lizzie Lowe. A copy of the report along with any amusing photos can also be sent to Val Chadwick for inserting onto our website.
