Based in Morley,West Yorkshire, our friendly, active club organises walks for the first 3 Sundays of every month in the following patterns:
- 1st Sunday – Medium walk 7 to 9 miles
- 2nd Sunday – Long walk 9+ miles
- 3rd Sunday – Short walk 5 to 7 miles
We always meet in Morley Morrisons car park for car sharing to the start of the walk (times vary according to which type of walk: 8.30 am for a long walk, 9am for a medium walk and 9.30 am for a short walk).Travel times are usually within an hour or so of Morley so includes the Dales, the North York Moors and the Peak District. We also have shorter tea shop and evening walks during the summer months.
On the 4th / 5th Sundays of each month, the Cycling Group ride an average of 25 miles.
Our Adventure group have a regular programme of weekend trips away at different venues in the U.K. We undertake more strenuous A party or shorter B party walks in a variety of settings.
Our annual programme, organised by an enthusiastic committee, also includes social events such as dances, parties, quiz evenings, treasure hunts and short holidays.
New members of all ages are welcome to try us out on a walk or cycle ride.
